  • Daily Scripture Walk #5 — Casting Your Burdens on the Lord

    Scripture:
    Psalm 55:22 (KJV)
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

    Walk Thought:
Burdens were never meant to be carried alone.

Yet so often, we hold on to them—worry, fear, stress—trying to manage what God has already invited us to release.

This verse gives both an instruction and a promise: Cast your burden on the Lord… and He will sustain you.

God does not just take the burden—He strengthens the one who brings it.

    Reflection Question:
What burden do you need to release into God’s hands today?

    Closing Prayer:
Lord, I bring my burdens to You. Help me to let go of the weight I’ve been carrying and trust You to sustain me. Give me peace and strength as I place my concerns in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • Daily Scripture Walk #3 — Lean Not on Your Own Understanding

    Scripture:
    Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

    Walk Thought:
Our understanding is limited. We see only a small part of the picture—but God sees it all.

When life becomes confusing, our instinct is to analyze, calculate, and try to solve everything ourselves. But this verse gently reminds us that our understanding is not the foundation we are meant to stand on.

God’s wisdom goes beyond what we can see or comprehend. When we release our need to “figure it all out,” we make room to trust the One who already has.

    Reflection Question:
What situation in your life are you trying to control instead of trusting God with?

    Closing Prayer:
Lord, I confess that I often rely on my own understanding. Help me to surrender my need for control and trust in Your wisdom. Lead me according to Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • Daily Scripture Walk #1 — Trusting the Lord with Your Whole Heart

    Scripture:
    Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

    Walk Thought:
Trust is easy when life makes sense. But what about when it doesn’t?

This passage calls us to a deeper kind of trust—not partial, not occasional, but with all thine heart. That means trusting God even when the path ahead is unclear.

We often lean on our own understanding, trying to figure everything out before we take the next step. But God asks us to do the opposite—to acknowledge Him first, and trust that He will guide us.

His direction may not always be immediate, but it is always sure.

    Reflection Question:
Are you trusting God fully, or only when you understand what He is doing?

    Closing Prayer:
Lord, help me to trust You with all my heart. Teach me not to rely on my own understanding, but to acknowledge You in every part of my life. Guide my steps and make my path clear. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
