  • Daily Scripture Walk #5 — Casting Your Burdens on the Lord

    Scripture:
    Psalm 55:22 (KJV)
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

    Walk Thought:
Burdens were never meant to be carried alone.

Yet so often, we hold on to them—worry, fear, stress—trying to manage what God has already invited us to release.

This verse gives both an instruction and a promise: Cast your burden on the Lord… and He will sustain you.

God does not just take the burden—He strengthens the one who brings it.

    Reflection Question:
What burden do you need to release into God’s hands today?

    Closing Prayer:
Lord, I bring my burdens to You. Help me to let go of the weight I’ve been carrying and trust You to sustain me. Give me peace and strength as I place my concerns in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • Daily Scripture Walk #2: Be Still

Daily Scripture Walk #1: Be Still (Psalm 46:10 KJV)

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
    Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

When life feels loud—news, schedules, worries, and unanswered questions—God’s word calls us to something that feels almost impossible: to be still. Stillness isn’t passivity; it’s a deliberate turning of the heart away from panic and toward the Lord who remains sovereign. In the middle of pressure, the flesh wants to rush, fix, and force an outcome. But Psalm 46 places our attention on God’s character before it ever addresses our circumstances. “Be still” is a command to stop striving as though everything depends on us. It is an invitation to rest in the truth that God is God—present, powerful, and unshaken. Try taking a few minutes today to quiet the noise. Pray simply: “Lord, help me to be still and know You.” Then name what you’re carrying—fear, uncertainty, impatience—and place it before Him. As you do, remember this promise: God will be exalted. Even when you cannot see how, He is working, and He will be glorified in your life.
